Investment Relations

The team has established a regional footprint to finance indigenous businesses. Through this regional presence, SAEDF has built linkages between existing businesses throughout the Southern Africa Region will bolster its current deal flow.

 

 



Since inception, SAEDF has achieved notable commercial and developmental accomplishments, including the following:

 

  • Put more than $90 million to work in carrying out its mission of supporting disadvantaged indigenous private businesses in southern Africa countries.

  • Provided financing to over 33 indigenous ventures across multiple countries of southern Africa,

  • Directly created employment over 3,000 workers and indirectly created jobs for an estimated 50,000.

  • Co-invested with other financial investors which have brought additional fresh capital to local African businesses.

  • Financed 17 ’start-ups,’ and sponsored 12 financial intermediary firms extending the reach of SAEDF’s limited capital leveraging additional monies for local financing in southern Africa.
